The NRA's Institute for Legislative Action has picked up on recent politician comments including the indifference to common sense and integrity that affects the Australian Labour Party. It is an unfortunate indictment on Australian politics that the frenzied and hypocritical posturing of the current Queensland Police Minister is not a barrier to entry into this role. The people of Queensland would much prefer someone that was not given to piques of self-aggrandisement and parochial chest beating such that we could all sleep easy at night knowing that the minister responsible for this important portfolio could discharge their duties with some level of impartiality. On a related front has the local 'peak' body that allegedly represents shooters interests had anything to say? No, yet again they are silent while politicians continue to undermine and attack shooters' image and their shooting rights. The NRA can comment and provide an alternative view on the attacks on our shooting rights we all suffer...but the SSAA QLD is SILENT. Snapshots from their website and twitter accounts show no 'News' since November LAST YEAR, and their twitter account is focused on newsletters and hunting. It is NOT business as usual guys, again as I've said before the SSAA are sleep walking into the demise of shooters rights in Australia.
